Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and proactive System Administrator to join our IT team. The System Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of our company's server systems, network infrastructure, and related technologies. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the IT systems that support core organizational functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), application software, and system management tools.
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure, including servers, virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), storage systems, and network devices.
- Ensure the highest levels of system and infrastructure availability, implementing redundancy and failover solutions.
- Manage network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points.
- Implement and manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Perform regular security monitoring, identify potential vulnerabilities, and implement security best practices and patches.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP).
- Provide Tier 2/3 support and troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and network issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and service records.
- Automate tasks through scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
- Collaborate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution and procurement.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, OR equivalent practical experience
